The DVLA has posted an update of common phishing campaigns being used against the public on the UK goverment website.
It confirms that in the months from July to September 2020, there was an incredible 603% increase in reports of fraudulent emails, texts and phone calls compared with the same period in 2019, with email comprising the lionshare of that increase 531%
As you would expect, the real phishing email examples that the DVLA showcases exhibit the usual hallmarks of phishing emails, including a sense of urgency and a request for drivers to update their profiles.
